There is no doubt that Mac is one of the best options people have when it comes to computers and laptops, but the truth is that users can sometimes witness the emergence of unresponsive apps. So what can you do to force quit a frozen application quickly on a Mac?
- Use the Apple Menu
Go to the Apple menu (the black Apple logo) located in the top left corner. Find the Force Quit option and click on it. Select the application that you want to quit (the unresponsive apps have a Not Responding note next to them. Simply click the Force Quit button and the process will be stopped. You can use the app again after that.
- Use the keyboard
Pres the Command Option and Esc button on the keyboard at once and you will notice the Force Quit box on the screen. Select the app that you want to quit (choose the one/s that are not responsive). Select the Force Quit button and the process will be terminated. You can start the app again whenever you want.
- Use the Activity Monitor
Open the Spotlight feature which is displayed with a magnifying glass and located in the top right corner. Search for Activity Monitor. Open the Activity Monitor (under Applications). Click the app that you want to terminate. After that, click the Quit Process option.
